The GIRAFFE-BEAM putter, which has been a hot topic due to its long neck and innovative design, has been fused with AI and will be released as the “Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM putter”. As the name GIRAFFE (Kirin) suggests, this putter also uses a crank hosel with a longer vertical section, but it has achieved further weight reduction while maintaining the same rigidity as the previous model. The reduced weight is distributed to the toe and heel, and the performance of the Ai-ONE insert, which has been switched from the White Hot insert, has been added to it, greatly improving the strength against off-center hits. The head lineup includes four types: #2, DW, #7, and JAILBIRD MINI. All are equipped with STROKE LAB 90 shafts.

The Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM putter, like the GIRAFFE-BEAM putter released in 2024, has a long neck with a longer vertical
part of the crank hosel, as the name GIRAFFE (giraffe) suggests. The long neck makes it easier for the shaft axis to face the center of the face, resulting in a center of gravity angle closer to face balance. For example, this shape is suitable for players who prefer a blade putter with a crank hosel, but also want the feeling of making an automatic straight stroke.
In addition to the neck that is both more rigid and lighter than the previous model
, the neck of the “Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM Putter” is not just long. In the previous model, the vertical part was slightly wider than a normal crank hosel, and the cross section was made like the H-shaped steel used in building beams and pillars, achieving both high rigidity and lightness at the same time, but this model further promotes both. By making the vertical part thinner than the previous model and adopting grooves on only one side, it has achieved the same rigidity as the previous model and further lightness. As a result, it has the effect of suppressing twisting of the face even in the case of off-center hits. Moreover, it is lighter than the conventional crank neck, making it easy to match not only with blade types but also with large mallets that tend to have heavy heads.
In the Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM putter, the weight saved by the new neck has been redistributed to the toe and heel of the head to reduce the opening and closing of the face due to impact deviation by 5.2%
. The back of the AI insert is also hollow, which contributes to optimizing the weight distribution, resulting in a head with a larger moment of inertia than the previous model, which, together with the highly rigid long neck, reduces the opening and closing of the face during off-center hits. A comparison by Odyssey also showed that the opening and closing of the face is reduced by 5.2%* compared to the previous GIRAFFE-BEAM putter.
The insert is also a big difference from the previous model, with a 46.7% improvement in ball speed
. The GIRAFFE-BEAM putter was equipped with a White Hot insert, but this model uses the Ai-ONE insert. The Ai-ONE insert, which is well known from Ai-ONE putters, has an aluminum part with complex ridges designed by AI layered on the back of the resin part on the impact side. Normally, it is said that if the impact point is shifted by 1 cm to the toe or heel, the ball speed will decrease by about 20% (2 m short on a 10 m putt), but the effect of the ridges in the aluminum part reduces the decrease in ball speed by about 5% (50 cm short on a 10 m putt). In addition, data (according to Odyssey) shows that the effect of this insert, combined with the high rigidity of the neck and the high moment of inertia of the head, has improved the decrease in ball speed due to impact point deviation to the toe and heel by 46.7%* from the GIRAFFE-BEAM putter. In addition, the insert color is black, which helps to reduce the contrast between the insert and the body color when addressing the ball.
The Ai-ONE GIRAFFE-BEAM putter, like the previous GIRAFFE-BEAM putter, is also notable for its giraffe-inspired design. The logo features an illustration of a giraffe, and most of the body is finished in copper, similar to the color
of a giraffe’s body. The sole is laser-painted with a giraffe pattern, the grip features a different ODYSSEY logo from the previous model, and the head cover is luxuriously embroidered with a giraffe pattern. The toe and heel at the front of the sole are each equipped with a weight of about 10g (only the #2 is about 15g). The head lineup includes four types: #2, DW, #7, and JAILBIRD MINI, and all of them are equipped with the STROKE LAB 90 shaft, which is made of steel.
