The Ai-DUAL Putter combines Odyssey’s most popular head with the newly developed Ai-DUAL insert. Like the Ai-ONE insert, it maintains consistent ball speed even on off-center hits, while generating more forward spin (clockwise rotation) regardless of impact location compared to previous models. By reducing the impact of turf grain and slope, it allows for a thinner line (less curvature) to aim for the cup. This makes it easier to achieve the intended distance and direction, significantly increasing the likelihood of a successful cup-in. The latest Ai-DUAL insert, designed to deliver a feel and sound closer to the White Hot, features a two-layer structure made of resins of different hardness. Designed through approximately 15,000 AI prototypes, the bonded surface, visible from the sole, features a complex curved design. The lineup includes six putter lengths: #1, #7 DB, #7 S, DW, JAILBIRD MINI, and 2-BALL. Of these, three left-handed models, the #1, #7 S, and JAILBIRD MINI, are available in 34-inch sizes. These clubs are ideal for players who prefer standard, conventional behavior and alignment, rather than zero-torque models, while also seeking a good ball roll and feel to increase their chances of hitting the ball into the cup.

The Ai-DUAL Putter features two types of resin: a soft resin on the striking surface and a hard resin on the inside.
Like the previously released Square 2 Square TRI-HOT putter, it features the Ai-DUAL insert, which underwent approximately 15,000 simulations and 72 prototypes. However, rather than being a zero-torque putter, this model features a standard shaft position. Unlike the Ai-ONE and Ai-ONE Titanium inserts, the Ai-DUAL insert is made entirely of resin, with a soft resin on the striking surface and a hard resin on the inside.
The Ai-DUAL insert, which not only stabilizes ball speed but also generates more forward spin,
features a complex, winding shape at the interface between the two resin layers, similar to the underside of the Ai-ONE insert. This was developed by AI with a focus on not only the Ai-ONE insert’s consistent ball speed regardless of impact position, but also the spin imparted to the ball. Generally, due to the gear effect, a ball tends to spin clockwise when it hits the upper part of the face, and backspin when it hits the lower part. Naturally, this also affects the ball’s rolling distance. The Ai-DUAL insert is designed to impart stable forward spin regardless of whether it’s hit on the upper or lower part of the face. Furthermore, because the bottom of the insert is flush with the sole, the distinctive shape between the two resin layers, created by AI, is more visible than the Ai-ONE putter, which has a clear polycarbonate window.
The isosceles triangle-shaped grooves also contribute to the forward spin and excellent roll.
The Ai-DUAL insert also features a new groove, the FRD (Forward Roll Design) groove, which contributes to the excellent roll. Unlike the Ai-ONE insert, the cross section has a unique shape consisting of a series of right-angled triangular depressions. The area where the ball hits the ball is angled 19 degrees from the vertical.
The Ai-DUAL insert offers a feel and sound closer to the White Hot insert
. The Ai-ONE insert was developed to be similar to the White Hot insert, but some users complained that it was “harder” and “higher-pitched” than the White Hot insert, likely due to its resin and aluminum construction. The Ai-DUAL insert is made entirely of resin, so it’s designed to have a softer feel and a lower sound than the Ai-ONE insert. The improved feel is also due in part to the adoption of the FRD grooves mentioned above.
There are six types in the lineup, and customization is also available.
The Ai-DUAL putter lineup includes six head styles: the #1 blade, the #7 DB with a horn-shaped double-bent neck, the #7 S with a horn-shaped short slant neck, the DW with a wide blade, the JAILBIRD MINI with black and white striped alignment, and the familiar 2-BALL. These heads are paired with all-steel STROKE LAB shafts, weighing in the 90g range. As always, the shafts offer low torque and a high overall moment of inertia. The putters are available in 33- and 34-inch lengths, with the #1, #7 S, and JAILBIRD MINI available in a 34-inch length for left-handed players. Customization of the Ai-DUAL putter is also available.
