Features & Benefits
- Speedwave 2.0 bonded inside the sole
Like the fairway wood series, the QUANTUM utility series also features Speed Wave 2.0 technology inside the head to achieve even greater speed. Similar to the improved version of the Speed Wave 2.0 technology featured in the ELYTE fairway woods, the overall width is narrower in the toe-to-heel direction, while the distance between the front and back is increased accordingly. The front end of the Speed Wave 2.0 has also been moved as far as possible from the back of the face, and its height above the inner sole has been designed to be as low as possible. This allows for an extension of the hinge section (the L-shaped bend) below the face cup, increasing deflection even when impacting the lower part of the face, minimizing ball speed loss. This results in high launch and consistent distance performance. The shallow center of gravity design also improves head control at impact. In the utility series, the Speed Wave 2.0 is not secured with screws, but is instead glued to the inner sole.
- Optifit 4 is installed in the hosel, which has a wide range of loft and lie angle settings.
Like the ELYTE utility clubs, it is equipped with an adjustable hosel called OptiFit 4. This not only makes it easier for each golfer to achieve their preferred trajectory, but also allows them to more appropriately adjust the distance gap between clubs.
- Also features a step sole design with a triangular shape
Like the fairway wood, the new club also features an improved step sole design. The center of the step is more triangular than the traditional trapezoidal shape. This provides players with a sense of head stability at address and also better sole release.
- Continued adoption of AI design pioneered by Callaway
The face itself is, of course, infused with Callaway’s AI design (designed specifically for each model and club) that has been cultivated over many years. The AI design incorporates input from numerous golfers’ realistic swing and trajectory data. While the face is more prone to deflection at impact, the AI-designed control points have been further strengthened, providing the same trajectory correction effect as before. While optimizing launch angle and spin rate for each impact point, it achieves consistent ball speed. It also allows the ball to land further within a narrower impact range.
- A head shape and score lines that give a sense of security for a wide range of golfers
The QUANTUM MAX FAST Women’s Utility features a slightly larger bulge at the rear of the head, a more boxy toe and heel profile, and a shallower profile. This design provides a more secure feel. It’s available in six lofts: 3H, 4H, 5H, 6H, 7H, and 8H. The loft angle is higher than the standard setting for each loft, prioritizing ball launch. An adjustable hosel is used on all clubs. The head is made of stainless steel, both the crown and sole. Like the QUANTUM MAX FAST Utility, the toe and heel of the sole feature trapezoidal weights. The weights are approximately 3g each, compared to the approximately 9g and 3g weights of the men’s model, for a lighter feel. The QUANTUM MAX FAST Women’s Utility is paired with the lightweight SPDSTAR WMS 40 shaft, a completely original design. A very light grip model is also selected.
