. It was developed to address the impact point errors commonly seen among average golfers. While AI-based design continues for each model and club, the series also introduces a new 360° undercut design. The head’s cross section resembles the letter J. Furthermore, by positioning the face welds further back, the face deflects over a wider area than ever before, even on ball hits from the bottom to the toe, a common mistake, resulting in a higher launch angle. This increases the chances of landing the ball on the green. Furthermore, the urethane microspheres deliver a superior impact sound and feel. The new tri-sole design reduces burr penetration and improves release, regardless of impact. AI-based face design continues to be implemented, further strengthening the control point and significantly improving trajectory correction.
The new model for female golfers, the QUANTUM MAX FAST Women’s Iron, is larger in size, but is sufficiently lightweight thanks to its completely original shaft weighing in the 40g range and reduced amounts of urethane microspheres and tungsten weights. The large loft setting also makes it particularly easy to launch the ball.

The biggest advancement in the QUANTUM iron series is its 360° undercut design. The entire circumference of the head forms a cross section that is bent like the letter J. Additionally, by positioning the face welds further back from the face, the club head is more likely to flex over a wider area from the bottom of the face to the toe than with conventional face-cup designs, resulting in a higher launch angle and improved ball speed. Even with mishits on the bottom of the face, common among average golfers, the ball still rises and provides ample distance. The optimal amount of spin also increases the chances of landing the ball on the green.
The lower back of the face is home to urethane microspheres that provide a comfortable feel and a body weight for proper weight distribution, but what’s noteworthy is how they’re installed. As mentioned above, the QUANTUM iron series uses a 360° undercut structure, with the urethane microspheres sandwiched in an L-shape between the undercut at the bottom of the face and the weight. This minimizes the area of direct contact between the weight and the bottom of the face, allowing for the full deflection effect of the undercut.
The face incorporates Callaway’s AI design (designed specifically for each model and club) that has been cultivated over many years. The AI design incorporates inputs of numerous golfers’ realistic swing and trajectory data. Because the face is more prone to deflection at impact, the AI-designed control points have been further strengthened, providing greater trajectory correction than ever before. While optimizing launch angle and spin rate for each impact point, it achieves consistent ball speed. It also allows the ball to land further and within a narrower landing range.
Recent Callaway irons have been highly praised for their chamfered soles, but the shape has been slightly changed in the QUANTUM iron series. While the leading edge of previous models was comb-shaped, the QUANTUM models have a thin chamfer of the same width running from the toe to the heel. This style was adopted to ensure good release even with slight variations in the impact point. Meanwhile, the trailing edge remains the same as previous models, and is also chamfered from the toe to the heel.
The QUANTUM MAX FAST Women’s Irons are available in seven clubs: I#6-9, PW, AW, and SW. Some lofts are stronger than the QUANTUM MAX irons. The head shape is similar to the QUANTUM MAX FAST irons, with a large toe-to-heel extension and offset. It offers a sense of security, and the back face design features a large, thick lower section, which, combined with the increased loft, creates a low center of gravity and a style that makes it easy to launch the ball. However, the amount of weight and urethane microspheres on the back face is less than that of the QUANTUM MAX FAST irons, further reducing weight. The QUANTUM MAX FAST Women’s Irons are paired with the lightweight SPDSTAR WMS 40 shaft, a completely original shaft developed for the brand. A very light grip model has also been chosen.
